Nate Hayward was proving to be very popular with the ladies. As I hid in a cubicle in the ladies’ room, all I could hear were comments on how good he looked, the pertness of his arse, and how delectable his voice and accent were; they weren’t wrong. I exited the stall and stood at the sink to wash my hands and give myself a once over.
“Oh, Lacey, you’re so lucky working for Mr Hayward. Have you met him, yet? You must have done,” Pam, one of the longest-serving members of staff, gushed at me when I took my mask off to pat down my face. “He seems wonderful, don’t you think?”
There was no way I was going to get drawn into gushing about my new boss, so I simply told her I was looking forward to new challenges, finished up, and put my mask on. As I was leaving the bathroom, I overheard Pam tell one of her cronies that she would take my job if I wasn’t interested, or willing to appreciate what I had. Yeah, okay there, love. Don’t get carried away. I thought as I couldn’t help but snort a laugh.
I’d taken no more than three steps away from the door when someone grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled me away from the party. From the feel of the roughness to the fingertips clamped to my skin, I was in no doubt who it was.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I whisper shouted as he led me into an empty conference type room. “Anyone could have seen us.” My protests were half-hearted as I looked into his eyes. They were almost feral.
“I really don’t care at this precise moment.” Nate locked the door behind us and took hold of my hips. “Your indifference is driving me insane.” Through the eyeholes in the black mask covering most of his face, his brown eyes were wide and roving my face and body with what could only be described as a hunger of sorts. “Then watching you walk away without a backward glance. Damn near blew my load in my pants.”
As he spoke, his hands roamed over my body softly, leaving a trail of heat wherever he touched me. My body wanted him even though my head screamed at me to get away from him and to keep my distance.
“This is not a good idea, Mr Hayward,” I stressed his name in the hopes I would remind him that he was my boss, but judging from the sound that escaped his mouth, it was more of a turn on to him than anything.
“Call me Mr Hayward again, and I don’t think I’ll be able to stop myself. Hearing you say my first name was bad enough, but my full name, from your lips…so fucking sexy,” There was a growl to his voice that seemed to have direct contact with my clit, and I couldn’t stop the moan of pleasure escaping me. “Tell me to stop. I’ll stop and walk away from this, but I get the feeling you want this just as much as I do.
